Ivy Park is an activewear clothing line co-founded by American recording artist Beyoncé and London based fashion retailer Topshop, introduced in 2016. The joint venture of Beyoncé and Topshop was officially announced in October 2014, and operates under the company Parkwood Topshop Athletic Ltd. Originally set for the fall of 2015, the launch was pushed back until the spring of 2016, with an April 14, 2016 official launch date to in store and online retailers.
On November 14, 2018, Parkwood Entertainment confirmed that the company has now acquired total ownership of the Ivy Park brand from co-founder Sir Phillip Green following allegations of sexual harassment and racial abuse.
On April 4, 2019, Beyoncé announced that Ivy Park will be partnering with Adidas. The collaboration marks the relaunch of the Ivy Park brand after severing ties with former retailer Topshop. In a statement released by Beyoncé on the official Ivy Park website, she states, “This is the partnership of a lifetime for me … adidas has had tremendous success in pushing creative boundaries. We share a philosophy that puts creativity, growth and social responsibility at the forefront of business. I look forward to re-launching and expanding Ivy Park on a truly global scale with a proven, dynamic leader.” The new relaunch also aims to put out shoes, performance gear, and lifestyle apparel.
